Numerous studies show that Ibogaine attenuates self administration various substances. With the increase of Ibogaine used to interrupt drug addiction, there is an impending need for a meticulous screening process & a strong safety protocol. We intend to share our work & how our protocol evolves as the use of the medicine becomes more widely relevant.
The Ibogaine Association consists of 5 licensed M.D.s (all from Mexico,) 2 interns, a Licensed Acupuncturist & Chronic Pain Specialist from Thailand, a Naturopathic Doctor, & a Psychotherapist. We are in Playas de Tijuana, Mexico, 20 miles from San Diego, California. Most of the clientele is from the USA, although patients come from Canada, Mexico & Europe. MDs assess clients, blood work & ekg evaluations are done. Many times, because of compromised issues resulting from drug abuse, clients require stabilization & pre treatment, such as diabetic/blood sugar control, blood pressure management, infection treatment, benzodiazepine stabilization and/or titration, and even cardiovascular evaluation & treatment. Patients are under continuous medical monitoring.
The results are evident immediately: primarily, a significant reduction in objective & subjective withdrawal symptoms. Craving scales decrease remarkably. This results in abstinence or a significant decrease in self administration of addictive substances. The Ibogaine Association reports a greater, quantifiable degree of physical & psychological health during & after the client?s treatment. We believe that our holistic, compassionate approach, where both allopathic & eastern medicine techniques are applied, is a key component to our patients' success.
